Anxiety

Anxiety Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion.  Disproportionate levels of anxiety, however, may indicate counseling is needed.  

Are you experiencing persistent feelings of fear, dread and uneasiness that is interfering with your daily life?   Is anxiety occurring during social interactions or are you having obsessive thoughts that lead to compulsive behaviors?  Are you having brief or sudden attacks of intense terror or apprehension?  You may also be experiencing physical symptoms with anxiety such as sweating, heart palpitations, increased blood pressure and nausea.  

We not only want to help you reduce the physical symptoms, but our goal is to help you recognize and change harmful thought patterns that may be causing the anxiety.  Here at Our Space, counselors will use evidence-base treatment such as cognitive behavioral therapy or a combination of therapies to help you confront your fears and reduce sensitivity to triggers of anxiety.
