SUSAN R. GRANDE, LMHC, NCC

Director and Principal Therapist.

Susan has been the Director and Principal Therapist of Our Space Family Mental Health Counseling PLLC in Brooklyn, NY since 2009. Her calling has focused on relationships, strong families, and personal empowerment. Her goal is to provide a safe place for individuals of all backgrounds and stages of life to experience the freedom of growth and healthy living. Susan considers it an honor to join you in your journey, to partner with you in faith, and to help you realize stability and wholeness.

Susan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #004259) in the State of New York with over 20 years of experience working with children, teens and adults. She is also licensed to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware and has a telehealth license in Florida. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). She has supervisory experience with graduate interns, MHC-LPs and independent contractors.

Susan holds an MA degree in Counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling, a Post-Masters Certificate in Child and Adolescent Counseling from Fordham University, two years of training from the Akerman Institute for the Family, training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy from Eden Counseling Center, a certificate in Critical Incident Stress Management from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and has primary certification in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) from the Albert Ellis Institute. She also has foundational training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. She has been a member of the New York State Chaplain Task Force since 2013.

Counselor

Jacqueline Butler is a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over five years of experience in the field of mental health.

She has a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hunter College-City University of New York. In 2023, Jackie received her license to practice in the State of New York as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

Her clinical experience includes counseling individuals and groups. Her focus includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, adjustment and transition, self-worth, relationships and interpersonal conflicts, women issues, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, and spiritual issues. Guided by the biopsychosocial model, Jackie takes a holistic and integrated approach to therapy and seeks to walk with her clients and help navigate them through the highs and lows of life.

Jackie believes that each person is unique and follows his/her own individualized path to healing and restoration.  She uses a warm and empathic approach to come alongside each client to help facilitate growth and wholeness.
