Support Staff

The senior staff is supported by LMHCs, associated therapists, graduate counseling interns, consultants and administrators.

Interns.  Each intern has completed the required course work as mandated by the NYS Board of Regents and has been approved by their institution to begin a counseling practicum/internship under the supervision of a licensed mental health counselor.  Interns are added to the counseling staff as needed.        >>> Please note, as of January 2026, we are not accepting applications for new intern positions. <<< 

Gregory Pagano, LCSW, is a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. As a consultant with a broad range of experience, he provides clinical supervision, guidance and client case reviews for the counselors of Our Space Family Counseling.

Layo Katibi, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over 15 years of experience working with middle and high school students with speech and language disabilities in the New York City public schools.   His areas of clinical interest and experience include (but are not limited to) school-age and adolescent literacy, dyslexia, language disorders, speech articulation disorders, auditory processing disorders, stuttering, and cluttering. 

Anthony F. Grande, MA, MSEd, oversees the administrative and financial aspects of Our Space Family Counseling. He has over 40 years of experience in administration and retired from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College-CUNY as its chief operating officer.

IN MEMORIUM

Rev. James Esposito, MBA (1967-2026). He was the Director of the New York Christian Resource Center. His inspiration in 2001 established “Franklin Street Kids” from which Our Space Family Counseling evolved. He acted as a liaison with local community organizations and coordinated activities and community events in which Our Space counselors participated. At the time of his passing, he was involved in international children’s development programs in several countries that focused on English-language skills, and had created an emotional support project for children in Ukraine.
